Research to rehabilitation for dysphagia
The purposes of clinical research about dysphagia are to propose evidence-based interventional method for dysphagia, to improve quality of life of the dysphagia patient in diet, and to prevent of aspiration pneumonia.
For these purposes, we are evaluating a characteristic of dysphagia in each disease, and developing the interventional method to be effective for each disease state. Furthermore, we are investigating satisfaction of appetite of the patient after intervention.
Our study is the interdisciplinary multi-institution study that the various kinds of co-medical staffs are participating.
Researcher introduction
Sonoko Nozaki,Professor of Departments of Physiotherapy
After having graduated from Osaka University School of Medicine in 1980, she worked as a neurologist at Neurology Division of National Hospital Organization Toneyama National Hospital, and as a Director of Clinical Research Division at National Hospital Organization Tokushima Hospital.
She became Professor at School of Rehabilitation, Hyogo University of Health Sciences in April, 2008.
