Hyogo University of Health Sciences
In 2007 at Port Island in Kobe, Hyogo University of Health Sciences (HUHS) has started its activity with three faculties simultaneously, School of Pharmacy, School of Nursing and School of Rehabilitation as a member of Hyogo College of Medicine Group which has over 30 years of history as medical college and teaching hospitals at Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture.
Mission：
Our mission is to bring up health-care professionals who can serve for the patients and society with reliable and warmhearted medical and related care and also who can contribute to the interdisciplinary medical care supported by high level of knowledge and skills.
Educational Policy：
Under the borderless and collaborative educational circumstances among three faculties joined with General Education Center, the main objective of the education is towards the team-based medical care.
Educational Objectives：
1: General education to grow a wide-ranged culture and warm-hearted personal character.
2: Professional education to acquire high-standard knowledge and skills under the borderless circumstances among the faculties as well as Hyogo College of Medicine and its affiliated hospitals.
3: Extended education for team-based medical management and regional health care supported by excellent communication ability.
4: Cultivate the mind for originality and internationality to serve for the next generation of health sciences.

Message from President
Hyogo College of Medicine (HCM) was founded for undergraduate medical education in 1972 at Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, and has grown-up to one the leading Medical College in Japan raising a total of over 3,300 MDs and also 860 PhDs As one of the important extension of its role, Hyogo University of Health Sciences (HUHS) has started its activity to raise healthcare-workers such as pharmacists, nurses, and rehabilitation therapists in 2007 at Kobebcampus as a sister school. HUHS has three faculties, School of Pharmacy, School of Nursing, and School of Rehabilitation (Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists). School of Pharmacy is an accredited 6-year undergraduate school. Besides these faculties, undergraduate education is supported by General Education Center. Our mission is to contribute to the development of healthcare system and enhance the quality of medical and health care by raising co-medicals who can participate to the medical care with wide high standard and responsiveness particularly for team-care. Also, we have two basic and important key words to achieve our mission;"Interprofessional Education" and "Borderless University". Under these key words, active teaching goal has been established towards"Team-Management and Collaboration among the Healthcare Workers" conjoining not only three faculties but HCM making one Medical and Health-science Unit from the biginning. We have now over 1,333 students and its reaches over 1,600 in two years. In this spring(2011), we have first graduates from Nursing and Rehabilitation. Also, we start graduate school the Master Course for Nursing and Rehabilitation. Finally, the international collaboration of health-care education and research activities are the next objectives.
